Guests attending the opening reception

I am delighted to have been accepted into the prestigious 2025 Ironbridge Fine Arts Printmaking Exhibition. The Ironbridge Fine Arts Printmaking Competition celebrates creativity, technical skill, and innovation in contemporary printmaking. My print One of my many masks II will be on display in Ironbridge until the end of November, alongside over 300 other works from artists working in the UK and around the world.

I’m absolutely over the moon that my print was awarded a prize, with the judges commending the combination of movement and stillness in the print. A sense of movement in stillness is something I’ve always strived for in my work, and it’s nice to see this recognised and appreciated.

This year’s theme for the Edinburgh Printmakers Members Show is “Our Shared World”. The show invites us to reflect on the world we live in, individually and collectively, and respond to the changing environment we inhabit locally in Edinburgh, and globally as citizens of the world. I will be exhibiting my recent work Kevin, New York, migrant, a print from my series Our Story.

This series explores shared experiences of masks and masking, aiming to reveal a universal experience among a diversity of people living vastly different lives. In Kevin, New York, migrant, I explore my personal experience of migration, what it means to be seen through and defined by the lens of others, and how the migrant experience changes us irrevocably in hidden ways.
